By downloading or using the Outlier Mac app, you agree to these terms. Plain English.
Payments are handled by Polar. Refund window: 14 days, no questions asked. Email matt@outlier.host with your Polar order number. Beyond 14 days, refunds are discretionary.
For the Founding 200 / Founders 500 lifetime tiers: lifetime means "for the lifetime of the Outlier product." If Kerr & Company LLC sunsets Outlier, lifetime license holders get 90 days' notice and a final binary release.
License keys are issued by Polar at purchase. To activate: Settings → license → paste your key → Activate. Your tier (Founding 200, Founders 500, Pro) is derived from the key's benefit ID. Keys are stored locally at ~/.outlier/license.json (mode 600). Lose your key? Email matt@outlier.host with the email you used at Polar — we can re-issue.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kerr & Company LLC's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to Outlier or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for your Outlier license (or $0 for free-tier users).

If we change these terms materially, we'll note the change here and bump the "Last updated" date. Continued use after a material change means you accept the updated terms.
